Acer Iconia W4 3G slate with Windows 8.1 goes official in India

Acer took the wraps off the Iconia W4 3G Windows 8.1 tablet in India. The slate will hit the shelves in a couple of days, on May 3 for Rs. 29,999 (about $498).

Impatient users can already pre-order the Iconia W4 3G by going to Acer India’s official Facebook page. Early birds will receive a free Crunch Cover worth Rs. 2,999.
The Acer Iconia W4 3G is powered by an Intel Atom Bay Trail T SoC with 1.8GHz quad-core CPU. It features 2GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory which can be further expanded via microSD card slot.
The display of the slate in an eight-inch IPS unit with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and 178-degree viewing angle. Full connectivity suite including 3G, 5MP main camera with 1080p video capture, 2MP front-facing unit, and 4,960mAh battery complete the highlights of the device’s specs.
Being a Windows 8.1 slate, the Acer Iconia W4 will offer Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 for free.
