Oppo will launch an attachable lens-style camera a la Sony QX in the near future. Live images of the upcoming gadget made the rounds on the Chinese social network Weibo.
The live photos show the bulky-looking snapper attached to an Oppo Find 7. The photos reveal that the camera will feature 10X zoom, as well as Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
Oppo’s upcoming camera is tipped to feature 16MP sensor, image stabilization, and microSD card slot. There are no details on its pricing or announcement date for the time being.
Considering the sheer size of the upcoming camera unit, I am a tad skeptical about its ergonomics. A regular point and shoot camera with good connectivity suite is certain to be easier to carry and handle, so Oppo will have to price its offering quite keenly to make a convincing case for it.
